Yes, after the second win in the CPAC straw poll, Ron Paul has decided to relaunch his LibertyPAC. After sending out a mass email approximately 4 hours ago, he has already raised nearly a half a million dollars. We say during the runups to the Presidential Primary in 2007 that Representative Paul (R-TX) set a new record for the most money raised in a single day for a political campaign – about 6 million dollars, after having beat his prior single day haul of some 4.07 million dollars on the anniversary of Guy Fawkes Day.

So, what can we expect this time around from a PAC fundraiser instead of a direct Campaign fundraiser? And why does this matter right now? We aren’t even in the Primaries yet. It’s important for those exact questions. During the Presidential Primary season, there was a host of contenders battling for our political contributions. Each had to display his smile and request our money for his campaign. Each of them received varying degrees of contributions. Currently, since we are not in a Primary season, Representative Paul can simply raise as much money as his supporters are willing to send his way to his PAC to effect it’s agenda. He still has the ability to raise money for his own campaign when that time comes in the future, which is still a year and a half away!

So what does it mean that LibertyPAC has already raised nearly a half a million dollars in some 4 hours? It means the people who care about where this country is heading are putting their money where their mouth is. Instead of complaining and tearing their hair out, they are actually taking part in the system. They’re not waiting. They’re not being patient little citizens to be ignored by the establishment again. No, this time it’s personal. In 2008, we saw the Ron Paul Revolution sweep the political landscape, with even diehard Liberals such as Ariana Huffington and Rachel Maddow become amazed by Paul’s successes.

Well, they ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.
