Dear Texas Patriots,
When we watch what our Representatives do, NOT just what they say, it’s clear that many in Texas leadership don’t really want the TSA anti-groping bill to pass. Now that it’s on the call, we must guard against behind-the-scenes efforts to gut the bill. The House is having trouble maintaining a quorum and therefore can’t conduct business.
Call members today – we need them on the floor Friday and we need the bill to have teeth. No gutting amendments!
The date, time, and place of the hearing has changed! If you possibly can, attend the Senate hearing Monday morning. If not, then make sure you contact the committee members.
COMMITTEE: Transportation & Homeland Security
TIME & DATE: 10:00 AM, Monday, June 27, 2011
PLACE: 2E.20 (Betty King Cmte. Rm.)
CHAIR: Senator Tommy Williams
Transportation & Homeland Security Senate Committee members:
- Chair: Sen. Tommy Williams
- Vice Chair: Sen. Kirk Watson
- Members:
Sen. Wendy Davis
Sen. Rodney Ellis
Sen. Chris Harris
Sen. Juan Hinojosa
Sen. Robert Nichols
Sen. Florence Shapiro
Sen. Jeff Wentworth
I know that we are getting weary of the legislative session and long for an end to it, but we can’t let up now when we are so close to victory!!! This is our “come and take it” moment!!!
For Texas and Liberty,
Debbie McKee
Texas Interim State Coordinator

P.S. It’s pretty clear this bill isn’t meant to pass. Just watch grassroots activist Wesley Strackbein put Perry on the spot at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans last weekend. Call your Representative and the Committee members and tell them you want it passed.
